Temperature are dipping down and Action is expected to pick up!

The season had started out on a normal November pattern, slow until the weather shows up. Forecast are calling for lower temperatures which should kick the migrating birds into gear! Today I had the pleasure of guiding Darrin and his son Joey on the Sutter ranch. Darrin purchased this hunt at the Half Moon Bay Ducks Unlimited Dinner. These guys ended the day with their limits of ducks. We been having decent success due to a good population of local birds with a mix of early migrating birds in the area. Darrin and Joe had their straps full with a mix bag of Mallards, Wood Ducks, teal, Wigeon, and Pintail. We been consistently killing Mallards, Wood Ducks, and Teal. That’s been out top three birds lately. I am taking reservations for January dry-field goose hunts. If you don’t have a full private party, I am booking mixed group hunts January 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th. Weekend dates are nearly full. I am running flooded field hunts till end of the Season. Joey with his first Mallards.
